Shoe Board Lasting

The assembly operation when the shoe upper is stretched over the last. In board lasting a paper fiber board is stapled or glued to the last bottom. For a mass produced shoe a lasting machine pull the upper tight to the last with hydraulic force while injecting hot glue to bond the upper to the board. The toe is done first, then the heel followed by the waist. Board lasting is used for leather shoes and boots, but can be used for sport shoes.
